Our Veterinarians

Dr. Nancy Irvine  and  Dr. Craig Selby  are both proud graduates of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Nancy grew up on her family’s horse and crop farm in Ashland.  She participated in a mix of farming, horse showing, and sporting activities in and around Ashland during her childhood.  She was the Salutatorian of her graduating class at Ashland Senior High School in 1986 and graduated with Honors in Chemistry from The College of Wooster four years later.  During Nancy’s college and veterinary school years, she also attended a variety of courses of study at several other colleges in Ohio, The University of Aberdeen in Aberdeen, Scotland, and the USDA-APHIS Plum Island Foreign Animal Disease Laboratory.

Craig’s childhood home is in Horseheads, NY where he resided with his family and various pets until he moved to Ohio nearly 25 years ago.  He graduated from The College of Wooster, majoring in Chemical-Physics.  Afterwards he earned a Master’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Cincinnati Department of Engineering before attending veterinary school.  He would be happy to talk to you about some of his published scientific papers on the novel synthesis and characterization of inorganic polysiloxanes based on anionic ring-opening polymerizations!

Both regularly participate in state and national continuing education meetings to keep up with the

ever-changing world of veterinary medicine.  Nancy likes to describe her enjoyment of attending

continuing education seminars as “just like visiting an ice cream shop with a spoon.”  They are also

members of many professional organizations, including:

American Veterinary Medical Association

 American Animal Hospital Association

   Ohio Veterinary Medical Association

     American Veterinary Dental Society

       Veterinary Information Network

(And yes, Nancy and Craig are married!)
